Job description

Position Summary

As a GI Reprocessing Account Manager at STERIS, you are responsible for selling the entire suite of Endoscope Reprocessing products including capital and consumables solutions to major hospitals, health systems, and ASCs in a specific geographic territory. You will provide a comprehensive approach focused on meeting with higher level decision-makers within a hospital and driving top-down decision-making to standardize workflows and deliver a higher level of infection prevention and patient care.

This customer facing position will cover the Knoxville, TN territory. Overnight travel required.

What you will do as an Account Manager, GI Reprocessing

Penetrate target accounts with frequent visits to ensure sales growth and business maintenance.
Maximize business through existing accounts by executing consultative sales process.
Maintain understanding of ordering patterns and pricing guidelines within the acute care setting.
Travel within the territory to optimize product exposure and communicate Customer needs.
Research products and observe competitive landscape and industry trends to enhance product offerings.
Participate in planning and implementing marketing and sales strategy.
Interact with other departments to handle Customer requirements.
Troubleshoot and evaluate product reliability issues.
Maintain and grow business within current accounts.
Develop consultative relationships with new and existing accounts to manage infection control practices.
Attain monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas.

The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed

Required
Bachelor's degree
3 years of successful sales experience
Must be able to be compliant with hospital/customer credentialing requirements

Preferred
Experience selling capital or disposables into the hospital OR or GI call points
Experience in preparing annual business plans to achieve sales objectives
Completed formalized sales training and development program
Capability of prioritizing and closing large opportunities in a large geography
Utilizes defined sales process and CRM, and demonstrated track record of high-level sales success

Pay rate for this opportunity is a set base salary of $65,000. This position is incentive plan eligible, at target earnings of $193,027, depending on performance.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
