Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Manager to oversee and expand our relationships within the defense and aerospace sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing key client accounts, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring client satisfaction through strategic planning and proactive communication. You will act as the primary liaison between the company and its defense clients, ensuring our solutions meet their mission-critical needs.
Essential Functions:
  • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned defense clients (DoD, contractors, integrators).
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts and potential new clients in the defense sector.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, program management, legal, etc.) to deliver tailored solutions and proposals.
  • Lead responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs in coordination with proposal and capture teams.
  • Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to support product development and strategic planning.
  • Monitor and ensure contract compliance, delivery timelines, and service levels.
  • Attend trade shows, industry conferences, and client meetings to promote company offerings.
  • Prepare regular reports on account status, pipeline forecasts, and sales performance metrics.
  • Serve as the liaison between key customers and internal teams
  • Researches and learns the vehicle and product platforms that AR supports
  • Support Program Management amp; Contract Management (ECN revisions, Program Changes, etc.) with assigned customers
  • Work with Accounts Receivable to support collection of delinquent account dollars
  • Research competitors and determine the market impact
  • All additional duties as assigned

  • Strong in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education amp; Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Political Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Min 5 years experience in account management, sales, or business development—preferably within the defense, aerospace, or government contracting environment.
Background Prerequisites:
Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks, physical, and controlled substance testing. Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain suitability requirements for access to classified information.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of CRM tools (e.g., MS Dynamics, Salesforce, HubSpot)
  • Experience in technical fields of Welding, Manufacturing, Machining or System Integration is a plus.
