Job description

Job Title: Contract Administrator Type: Long-term Contract Contractor Work Model: Remote

Responsibilities

  • Support increasingly complex procurement and subcontract management duties, including federal government contracting.
  • Manage procurement activities with a focus on performance, change control, quality, cost, and schedule management.
  • Work with Requestors to understand procurement requirements and review statements of work and specifications.
  • Select appropriate Terms and Conditions for each procurement and collaborate with Legal to negotiate Supplier exceptions.
  • Perform market research to identify potential suppliers and prepare/manage pre-award activities such as RFP, RFQ, and EOI, including site visits.
  • Conduct price analyses and ensure funding approval prior to entering contractual agreements.
  • Issue purchase orders and monitor order progress to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Manage post-award activities emphasizing performance, change control, quality, cost, and schedule.
  • Verify receipt of items, resolve receipt/invoice discrepancies, and maintain complete procurement records.
  • Collaborate with the larger Supply Management team for contract review and negotiation support.
  • Perform other procurement and contracting duties as assigned, including federal government contracting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Procurement and Contract Management.
  • Experience with client and supplier relations, and federal government contracting (DOE, DOD preferred).
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance and export control requirements.
  • Experience with purchasing fabricated equipment, IT software, and commercial items.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, demonstrating trust, integrity, openness, and respect.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and produce quality work.
  • Military or nuclear experience is a plus.
  • Technical background preferred and experience with export control and quality assurance a plus.
  • Physical ability to sit/stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and work in a standard environment; travel up to 5%.
