Job description

Workers’ Compensation Associate
Locations: (Hybrid)
Salary Range: $125,000 – $175,000 + bonus

Our client, a nationally recognized civil litigation defense firm, is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Litigation Associate to join its California team. This is a strong opportunity to gain hands-on experience handling a diverse caseload while working within a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

What You’ll Work On:

  • Defending employers and insurers in workers’ compensation matters
  • Managing cases from evaluation through resolution
  • Conducting discovery and preparing case strategy
  • Attending workers’ compensation hearings and proceedings
  • Communicating directly with clients and providing case updates
  • Supporting litigation efforts across employment-related matters

What We’re Looking For:

  • Active California Bar admission
  • 1+ year of workers’ compensation experience preferred (not required)
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and client management skills
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school
