Job description

T-Mobile is seeking an experienced Sourcing Manager to lead complex contract negotiations related to in-building wireless coverage deployments - Distributed Antenna Systems/DAS - in stadiums, arenas, airports, and convention centers, as well as optimization of in-building lease portfolios, and extension/renewal of network lease agreements and master lease agreements. This role is central to T-Mobile's strategy of securing favorable terms with landlords, venue owners, and property stakeholders as demand for in-building wireless coverage continues to grow. The ideal candidate is a skilled negotiator with deep experience in lease and venue contract negotiations who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident presenting deal outcomes to senior leadership.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Negotiation Strategy Development: Develop negotiation strategies for in-building wireless coverage contracts, considering risk tolerance, financial implications, long-term relationship dynamics, and T-Mobile's network coverage objectives.
  • Contract Review and Analysis: Review and analyze proposed contract terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with company standards and underlying documents such as master lease agreements, ground leases, and easements; identify risks, ambiguities, and areas for negotiation.
  • Negotiation Execution: Lead negotiations with landlords, venue owners, property managers, and other counterparties to secure favorable terms, including pricing, access rights, renewal options, termination clauses, and revenue-sharing structures. Drive deals from initial intake through fully executed agreements.
  • Contract Drafting and Redlining: Draft and redline contract documents including Site License Agreements, Amendments, Master Lease Agreements (MLAs), Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and letter agreements. Track changes and ensure consistency with negotiated terms.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Partner with Legal, Finance, Engineering, and regional/market teams to align negotiations with organizational objectives. Summarize and present business cases and deal terms to senior leadership including Sr. Director, VP, and EVP for review and approval.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain productive relationships with landlords, venue owners, and infrastructure partners throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Documentation and Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate records of all negotiations, correspondence, and executed agreements to support audit readiness and future dispute resolution.
  • Continuous Improvement: Assess and improve contract negotiation processes, tools, and methodologies. Incorporate lessons learned into future negotiations and support team-wide best practices.

Education and Work Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of related work experience OR Advanced degree with 3 years of related experience (Required)
  • Acceptable areas of study include Business, Finance, Technology or Engineering (Required)
  • 4-7 years Experience in a technology sourcing, an engineering role or similar role. (Required)
  • 4-7 years Experience managing Business Requirements, Project Plans, Project Schedules and associated project materials in a mid to large size company. (Required)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Contract Negotiation - experience negotiating complex leases, venue agreements, ground leases, easements, or infrastructure access agreements
  • Contract Drafting and Redlining - demonstrated ability to draft, review, and redline complex agreements including Site License Agreements, MLAs, MSAs, and SOWs
  • Full Deal Lifecycle Management - proven ability to manage deals from initial intake through negotiation, execution, and final signed agreement
  • Stakeholder Management - ability to partner cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Engineering, and Operations
  • Executive Presentation Skills - ability to develop and deliver deal summaries and business cases to VP and EVP-level leadership; proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Business Acumen - understanding of financial implications, risk assessment, and total cost of ownership in deal structuring
  • Vendor/Supplier Relationship Management - ability to build and maintain productive relationships with landlords, venue owners, RF vendors, and infrastructure partners while negotiating favorable terms
  • Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Word
  • Telecommunications Infrastructure Knowledge - familiarity with in-building wireless systems (DAS/Distributed Antenna Systems), small cell deployments, or wireless real estate
  • Project Management - ability to manage multiple active deals and negotiations simultaneously

  • AI Proficiency - experience with Claude or other AI platforms
  • Legal Background or JD - experience reviewing contract language with legal acuity; prior work as or alongside an attorney

Base Pay Range: $87,000 - $156,900
Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year.
