We're looking for a talented Data Integration Engineer II to join our team supporting a complex Federal Government customer in Northern Virginia (Alexandria/Falls Church area). This individual will support the development and operation of data integration solutions that move and transform data across enterprise systems. You will work with SQL, ETL/ELT processes, APIs, and data pipelines to help ensure data is transferred accurately, reliably, and efficiently.

Work Location:

  • Onsite – Northern Virginia (Alexandria/Falls Church area)

Clearance:
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain Government security clearance.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support the development, maintenance, and operation of data integration solutions and data pipelines.
  • Develop and execute SQL queries to retrieve, transform, validate, and move data between systems.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of ETL/ELT processes.
  • Support integrations between databases, applications, APIs, and other enterprise systems.
  • Monitor data pipelines and integration processes to identify errors, failures, and performance issues.
  • Troubleshoot data integration and pipeline issues and assist with root-cause analysis.
  • Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure data is transferred accurately and completely.
  • Support data transformation and migration activities.
  • Assist with the development and testing of integration solutions.
  • Document data flows, integration processes, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Work with data engineers, developers, database administrators, analysts, and other technical teams.
  • Follow established security, data governance, change management, and configuration management practices.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in data integration, data engineering, ETL/ELT, database development, software development, or a related discipline.
  • Experience using SQL to query, manipulate, and validate data.
  • Experience supporting ETL/ELT processes or data pipelines.
  • Understanding of data integration concepts and data transformation processes.
  • Experience working with relational databases or other structured data sources.
  • Experience troubleshooting data processing, integration, or pipeline issues.
  • Ability to analyze technical problems and identify appropriate solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to validate data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar relational databases.
  • Experience with ETL/integration tools such as SSIS, Informatica, Talend, Azure Data Factory, or similar technologies.
  • Experience developing or consuming REST APIs or web services.
  • Experience with Python, PowerShell, or other scripting languages.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
  • Experience with data migration and transformation projects.
  • Experience with data warehousing and data modeling.
  • Experience with enterprise data governance and data quality practices.
  • Experience with source control and CI/CD practices.
  • Experience supporting complex enterprise environments.
  • Experience supporting U.S. government or federal contracting programs.
  • Active or previously held U.S. government security clearance.

Salary Range
$85,000-$105,000
The posted salary range represents the anticipated compensation for this position. Final compensation will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications, years of directly relevant experience, education, certifications, security clearance, contract requirements, and other business considerations.
