Job description

Role: Senior Talend Lead with Spark Experience

Location: Reading, PA, 100% Onsite

Term: Contract

Talend Platform Expertise - must have Spark experience.


Architect and develop solutions using:

  • Talend Data Integration
  • Talend Cloud (Management Console, Job Server, Remote Engine)
  • Talend Data Quality and Master Data Management (MDM)
  • Design reusable Talend frameworks, components, and templates.
  • Ensure standardized logging, error handling, retry, and monitoring mechanisms.
  • Data Migration & Modernization
  • Lead large-scale data migrations (Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, legacy systems ? Cloud Data Platforms).


Define migration strategies:

  • One-time migration
  • CDC / incremental loads
  • Near-zero downtime cutovers


Validate data accuracy through reconciliation, profiling, and quality checks.


Cloud & Platform Integration // Integrate Talend with cloud data platforms such as:

  • AWS (S3, Redshift, RDS, Glue)
  • Azure (ADLS, Synapse, SQL DB)
  • GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Storage)


Implement secure connectivity with APIs, message queues, and microservices.

Ensure compliance with enterprise security, IAM, and encryption standards.


Governance, Quality & Compliance

  • Implement data quality rules, validations, and exception handling.
  • Enforce metadata management and lineage tracking.
  • Support regulatory and compliance requirements (GDPR, SOX, HIPAA where applicable).
  • Align Talend solutions with enterprise data governance frameworks.


DevOps & Automation

  1. Integrate Talend pipelines with CI/CD frameworks.
  2. Enable automated testing (unit, regression, data validation).
  3. Manage version control, promotions, and environment handling.
  4. Support monitoring and operational readiness.


Stakeholder & Team Leadership


Lead and mentor Talend developers and data engineers. Collaborate with:

  • Data Architects
  • DBAs
  • Cloud Engineers
  • Business Analysts
  • Product Owners


Translate business requirements into technical designs.

Participate in architecture reviews and executive discussions.
