Job Summary: Workday Reporting Developer - Amazon Whole Foods (Austin, TX or Central Time Zone Remote)
About the Role
Join Amazon's Worldwide Grocery Stores Finance team as a Workday Reporting Developer and drive the future of financial analytics for one of the world's most innovative retailers. As a critical member of our FinTech Innovations Team, you will design and deliver scalable Workday reporting solutions, enabling business leaders to make data-driven decisions. This 12-month contract offers the opportunity to work onsite in Austin or remotely within the Central time zone, collaborating with experts in a high-impact, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain complex Workday financial reports, dashboards, and calculated fields to support finance and accounting operations
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and robust governance across all Workday reporting and analytics platforms
- Analyze and process large, multidimensional datasets from multiple sources, delivering actionable insights for business partners
- Collaborate cross-functionally to gather business requirements and translate them into effective reporting solutions
- Support ad hoc analytics requests, focusing on clarity, scalability, and business impact
- Lead documentation, implementation, and user adoption initiatives for new reporting features and system enhancements
- Manage incident response and resolve technical issues related to system outages, bugs, and data errors
- Drive continuous improvement of reporting processes and maintain comprehensive system documentation
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on Workday financial reporting development, configuration, and analytics
- Proven experience with Workday report writing, advanced reports, and dashboards
- Strong understanding of accounting and finance principles and financial planning processes
- Workday certification required
- Expertise in Workday security roles, worktags, setup and maintenance, book management, and the impact of security on data access
- High proficiency in Excel and experience with large, multi-source data sets
- Ability to analyze, test, validate, and communicate findings to diverse stakeholders

- Advanced skills in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Workday Prism
