Overview Job Title: Mining Operations Business Systems Analyst Location: Hybrid - Phoenix, AZ Job Type: Independent Contract (Contractor / Non-Employee) Start Date: ASAP Pay Rate: $80-$120 per hour C2C/1099 Contract Length: 12+ Months We are seeking a highly experienced Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support business and technology initiatives across Mining Operations. The BSA will serve as the bridge between mining operations, engineering, maintenance, processing, supply chain, and IT teams to identify business requirements, improve operational processes, and implement technology solutions that enhance productivity, safety, reliability, and operational performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong mining industry experience, a deep understanding of operational workflows, and the ability to translate business needs into system requirements and technical solutions. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering * Partner with Mining Operations stakeholders to understand business objectives and operational challenges. * Facilitate requirements gathering workshops and stakeholder interviews. * Document business, functional, and technical requirements. * Create user stories, process flows, use cases, and solution specifications. * Support prioritization of business and technology initiatives. Mining Operations Support * Analyze and improve mining business processes including: * Mine Planning * Drill & Blast Operations * Haulage Operations * Fleet Management * Dispatch Systems * Maintenance Operations * Asset Management * Processing Operations * Production Reporting * Safety & Compliance * Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization. * Support continuous improvement initiatives. Systems Analysis * Evaluate existing applications and systems supporting mining operations. * Perform gap analysis and recommend technology solutions. * Assess impacts of system changes and enhancements. * Support enterprise application implementations and upgrades. Stakeholder Engagement * Act as liaison between business units and technical teams. * Facilitate decision-making and alignment across departments. * Present recommendations and findings to operational leadership. * Manage stakeholder communication throughout project lifecycles. Process Improvement * Document current-state and future-state business processes. * Conduct workflow analysis and process mapping. * Identify operational inefficiencies and improvement opportunities. * Support Lean, Six Sigma, and Operational Excellence initiatives.
