Job Description
The incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting the Contract Unit Manager with the supervision of staff and coordination and facilitation of contracts as they flow between the Purchasing, Legal, Accounting, Risk Management, Information Technology and End-User Departments in order to ensure compliance with the policies that govern the Purchasing Department and the Seminole Tribe of Florida (STOF). The individual maintains direct contact with suppliers/vendors and other stakeholders during the review, negotiation, and execution process of the contracts. The incumbent manages and supervises Contract Staff and provides guidance in communication with Tribal Departments and suppliers/vendors. Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance or related field is required. Master's degree is highly preferred. A minimum of six (6) years of experience working as a Contract Administrator, with at least two (2) years working in a senior level capacity is required. Prior supervisory experience is preferred. Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License is required. Proficient computer skills including expertise in the use of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat and prior experience utilizing contract tracking systems is preferred. Prior Lawson experience is highly desirable. Demonstrate excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to travel to all reservations and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
