Description

RER Solutions, Inc., is accepting resumes for a Contract Support Specialist position in the Washington, DC area. The Contract Support Specialist will provide on-site federal program support for the Department of Energy's Office of Energy Dominance Financing's procurement team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide direct support to the procurement lead by monitoring multiple ongoing procurements.
  • Review procurement documents for completeness and accuracy, answer stakeholders' questions about procurement status and processes, and ensure compliance with federal procurement regulations.
  • Assist the procurement team with long-term projects and strategic goals, including updating and maintaining the 3rd party vendor database.
  • Track Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) training compliance and support other special projects as assigned to improve procurement operations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (engineering, legal, finance) to assist clients with their procurement needs and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in procurement processes and contribute to best practice sharing within the Client context.
  • Work alongside procurement team members to provide administrative support. This includes coordinating meetings, preparing materials, tracking action items, and facilitating communication between internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth and efficient procurement cycles.

Requirements
  • Minimum of US Citizenship required to obtain client issued Public Trust
  • Five years' experience working with federal contracting support (preferably within the Dept
  • of Energy)
  • Four years' experience in general copywriting and communication support
  • Knowledge of contracting vehicles, including GSA Schedules, Knowledge of Federal contracting regulations, and acquisition administrations in a Federal environment.
  • Experience with Federal Government contracting, particularly pre-awarded and award Functions.
  • Excellent analytical abilities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, and an understanding of fundamental business writing
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Products (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree or Associates degree plus 2 years of relevant experience.
