Position Overview


Contingent upon contract award


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform grounds maintenance across 3,200+ acres of ranges, airfields, and training areas in support of U.S. Army operationsย 
  • Assist with mowing, trimming, edging, and brush cutting using hand tools and powered equipmentย 
  • Trim vegetation around fences, poles, signs, trees, shrubs, and airfield infrastructureย 
  • Remove debris, trash, and foreign objects before and after operations to prevent safety hazards and FOD risksย 
  • Support mowing operations in hard-to-reach areas including slopes, rough terrain, ditches, and around obstaclesย 
  • Maintain grass height standards in accordance with PWS requirements and seasonal mowing cyclesย 
  • Assist tractor operators and equipment crews to ensure efficient workflow and task completionย 
  • Conduct basic equipment care including cleaning, fueling, and reporting maintenance issuesย 
  • Follow all OSHA, Army Safety (AR 385-10), and environmental compliance standardsย 
  • Maintain awareness while working in active training areas and airfield environmentsย 
  • Support seasonal operations including leaf removal, storm cleanup, and erosion controlย 
  • Report hazards, unsafe conditions, and equipment issues to supervisors promptly

Qualifications/Requirements

  • One year experience operating equipment listed above
  • US Citizen
  • Valid North Carolina driver's licenseย 
  • OSHA & Army Safety Complianceย 
  • Outdoor Operations in High-Risk Environments
  • High school diploma or GEDย
