AMT's Core Audio team provides the audio foundation for various high profile features like Interactive Audio (Games / AR experience), Siri, FaceTime, media capture, playback and API's for third party developers to enrich our platforms. .
As a Sr Audio Embedded Software Engineer, you will have responsibilities spanning all aspects of product development:Collaborate with marketing and cross-functional engineering teams to define product features and requirementsPlay a lead role in defining system architecture to implement new product and product features Design, implement, debug, and test embedded C/C++ code running on 16-bit, 32-bit and 64-bit MCU's for Apple-branded audio productsOptimize code in order to fit within tight memory constraints; support electrical bring-up and debug of prototype hardwareWork with internal teams and external contract manufacturers to bring products to mass productionCollaborate with software teams to define communication protocolsEnable expansion of our product ecosystem features through creation of test tools
5+ years experience developing embedded firmwareExperience with MCUs, multi-core, peripherals, clocking, features, and development environmentsExperience with board bring-up and digital hardwareAbility to design and integrate code into a shipping productDemonstrate solid C/C++ coding abilitiesStrong electrical system and software debugging skillsAbility to read serial bus traces, board schematics, use an oscilloscope and logic analyzerExperience with RTOS embedded development and preemptive multithreaded programmingBS or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
