Job Summary:
MILVETS Systems Technology, Inc. is a reliable provider of quality services in the information and technology fields. They are currently seeking a full-time Software Engineer Mid-Level to support the USAF Distributed Mission Operations Center at Kirtland AFB, NM, responsible for maintaining and enhancing backend services and web applications.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain and enhance existing backend services and web applications.
• Research and implement new development ideas and improvements.
• Contribute to technical documentation and best practices.
• Help maintain and improve automated testing processes.
• Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and resolve issues across the stack.
• Design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
• Ensure software standards are met.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Must have US Citizenship.
• Eligible to obtain a Secret security clearance.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python.
• Experience with Linux bash scripting and working in Linux environments.
• Strong understanding of Git and version control workflows.
• Experience troubleshooting applications and debugging issues.
• Ability to write and maintain clear technical documentation.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Technology (IT), Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering.
• In lieu of a degree, one or more of the following certifications will be accepted: CISSP-ISSAP, GSEC, CSSLP.
Preferred:
• Holding CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Experience with C# and windows development.
• Familiarity with web technologies (Django, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS).
• Understanding CI/CD pipelines, particularly Gitlab YAML configuration.
• Experience with SQL database design.
