Role: SAP HANA Consultant
Remote contract position
Core Responsibilities
1. Snowflake to SAP S/4HANA Integration
  • Design and implement data integration between Snowflake and SAP/HANA using shared views
  • Define and maintain source-to-target mappings at table and field level
  • Ensure alignment of Snowflake data structures with S4/HANA SAP Financial Asset Management data models
  • Validate completeness, accuracy, and consistency of ingested data

2. Data Mapping & Transformation
  • Develop detailed mapping specifications, including:
    • Field-level transformations
    • Data type harmonization
    • Reference and lookup mappings
  • Identify and resolve schema mismatches across Snowflake and SAP
  • Support reusable, source-agnostic mapping frameworks where feasible

3. SAP Reporting Data Modernization
  • Refactor existing SAP reporting views to enable optimized extraction/sharing into Snowflake
  • Enhance reporting datasets for downstream analytics and consumption
  • Ensure consistency between SAP-derived outputs and Snowflake analytical models

4. SAP Financial Asset Management Alignment
  • Apply functional knowledge of SAP Financial Asset Management (FAM) to ensure proper:
    • Position representation
    • Valuation alignment
    • Accounting classification
  • Validate that integrated data supports accounting, reporting, and reconciliation use cases

5. Testing & Validation
  • Execute data validation routines, including:
    • Record count reconciliations
