Graphic Designer (Part-Time Remote Contract)

As we continue our legacy, we're seeking adaptable, creative Team Members who thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. If you're passionate about design, branding, and storytelling-and you're ready to help bring our marketing vision to life-we'd love to have you on our team.
The Graphic Designer partners closely with the Creative Director to transform ideas and stakeholder needs into visually compelling marketing materials across digital and print platforms. This role combines production design, creative concepting, and light copywriting while maintaining Studio Movie Grill's brand standards across every project.
Collaborate with the Creative Director to develop creative concepts that effectively communicate marketing objectives while aligning with established brand standards.
Design and produce a wide range of marketing materials for digital and print, including social media graphics, web assets, advertisements, presentations, signage, collateral, logos, illustrations, and promotional campaigns.
Determine the most effective use of typography, color, imagery, composition, and layout to create engaging visual communications.
Perform photo editing, image retouching, and graphic asset creation as needed.
Maintain brand consistency across all creative deliverables by following and reinforcing established visual identity guidelines.
Present design concepts, incorporate feedback, and revise projects efficiently while meeting deadlines.
Prepare production-ready files for print and digital distribution, ensuring proper file setup and optimization.
Organize, upload, and maintain project files on the Studio Movie Grill creative server according to established workflows.
Assist with light copywriting and proofreading to ensure messaging is accurate, engaging, and on-brand.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and quality.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Five or more years of professional graphic design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating branding, marketing communications, and creative problem-solving.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat.
Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint.
Strong understanding of typography, color theory, layout, composition, and visual hierarchy.
Experience preparing files for both print production and digital publishing.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including light copywriting and proofreading abilities.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines.
Ability to collaborate effectively while also working independently in a remote environment.
Portfolio and professional references required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Agency or in-house corporate creative experience.
Photography and photo direction experience.
Working knowledge of HTML.
Video editing experience.
Experience with prepress production, PDF optimization, press checks, and commercial printing processes.
Passion for movies, entertainment, and hospitality brands.
