Temp-to-Hire Oil & Gas Accounting Administrative Assistant

Location: Oklahoma City, OK

Schedule: Mondayโ€“Friday | 100% Onsite

Duration: 90-Day Temp-to-Hire

Pay: $18โ€“$21/hr DOE


We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Oil & Gas Accounting Administrative Assistant to join a growing Oklahoma City company. This temp-to-hire opportunity is ideal for an individual who enjoys supporting accounting operations while handling a variety of administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced office environment. Previous Oil & Gas experience is highly preferred, along with strong organizational skills and proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the accounting and operations teams
  • Process and maintain Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions
  • Assist with owner relations, vendor communications, and document management
  • Enter and maintain accurate accounting, lease, vendor, and customer records
  • Support invoice processing, coding, and payment tracking
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and financial record maintenance
  • Manage bill payments and related documentation for multiple entities
  • Prepare, organize, and file accounting and operational reports
  • Answer incoming calls and professionally assist vendors, landowners, and customers
  • Make outbound calls to gather, verify, and update information as needed
  • Draft and distribute correspondence via email and mail
  • Schedule meetings, maintain calendars, and coordinate office activities
  • Assist with document preparation, scanning, filing, and records retention
  • Support special projects and additional administrative duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative support experience
  • Oil & Gas industry experience strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
