Job description

Duties

Duty 1: Implements and administers the Information Security Program for the organization. Implements DoD, HQ USAF, and MAJCOM/FOA policies and develops local procedures for the classification and protection of classified national defense and other sensitive information originated or controlled by the organization's activities.

Duty 2: Administers the Industrial Security Program for the organization. Reviews solicitation and contract documents to ensure they include the appropriate security clauses and language. Reviews DD Forms 254, Contract Security Classification Specifications, for technical accuracy and sufficiency of classification guidance prior to approval.

Duty 3: Administers the Personnel Security Program for the organization. Establishes local procedures for processing requests for security clearances for military and civilian personnel. Initiates and reviews all requests for personnel security investigations consistent with directives.

Duty 4: Implements and administers the Physical Security Program. Provides program management for the Physical Security Program. Develops guidance and procedures that form the basis for the organization's physical security operations that meet directives, local conditions, and requirements.

Duty 5: Assists managers in implementing security education and motivation programs. Advises managers of security training requirements, changes in security procedures, publication of security directives, and enhancements designed to increase security awareness. Recommends methods of adapting regulations to the local serviced organizations.
