Job description

A Project Engineer position is currently available at Belcan in West Palm Beach, FL. This is a full-time, direct position with full benefits. Matching candidates will need a Bachelor of Science degree in the engineering field, preferably Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and a minimum of 3 years of experience. In this role you will support project engineering functions as part of team that works together, either at our Belcan office or onsite with the customer and provide support for our engineering projects.
Project Engineer position duties:
* Candidates will participate in interdisciplinary teams to support the design and analysis of gas turbine engine hardware (such as rotors, split and ring cases, airfoils, stators, vanes, and IBRs)
* Manage the daily/weekly activities of those on their team, and report status to technical leads and project managers
* Manage schedule, including use of Microsoft Project and Primavera scheduling tools
* Communicate effectively to leadership and other team members
* Standard risk management processes and procedures, specifically related to identification of manufacturing risks & development/execution of risk mitigation plans
* Meet daily as required with analyst team, project managers, and project engineers to set directions for work.
* Perform contract review upon receipt of new or revised funding and collaborate with the customer on resolution of any issues related to the contract.
* Lead team in the development of project scope
* Establish the project team. Communicate effectively with the project team to ensure that they understand the technical requirements associated with the tasks that they are performing.
* Monitor project progress to ensure that product will be delivered on time, on budget and with technical excellence.
* Enforce compliance in the terms of the contract, the project quality plan, project directives, statutory/regulatory requirements and applicable Belcan procedures.
* Interface with customers to define project requirements and deliverables
* Drive the successful execution of projects and report results to Belcan and customer leadership
* Ensure customer satisfaction
Requirements:
* Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or similar
* 3+ years of experience successfully managing complex engineering projects
* 3+ years of experience working with gas turbine components
* Experience using project management tools and elements
* Due to the nature of our work *US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED
Preferred:
* Experience with Fan/Compressor and Turbine components
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.
* Experience with EVMS
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $83,200 to $104,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.'
