Job description

JOB SUMMARY:   The Facilities Project Manager oversees the planning, development, and execution of assigned projects related to building and property infrastructure. Responsibilities include scope development, budgeting, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This position functions in an armed environment.

WORK SCHEDULE: Variable days and hours based on each assignment and work activities. Overtime, weekend, and holiday work may be required. On call for emergencies, 24 hours, 7 days a week.

TRAVEL REQUIRED: Yes, via automobile to most locations. Airline flight as needed.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Plan and oversee assigned facilities projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
  • Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify project requirements, recommend solutions, and provide status updates.
  • Manage project risks and issues, identify potential problems, and develop mitigation plans.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements during project execution.
  • Evaluate project success and identify areas for improvement, making recommendations for future projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Communicate project updates and progress to senior management and other stakeholders, providing regular reports and presentations as required.
  • Additional Facilities duties and responsibilities may be assigned at the manager’s discretion.

 QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related field preferred. 7 years of experience as a Facilities Project Manager is acceptable in lieu of degree.
  • Experience with construction projects involving banks, vaults, and financial institutions is a plus.
  • At least 7 years of experience in facilities management and construction project management.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial leasing, building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
