SAP ABAP/EDI Analyst

Contract Length: 12 Months
Location: Charlotte, NC
Work Setup: Hybrid (TuesdayThursday On-site | Monday & Friday Remote)
Join a collaborative SAP team supporting a critical SAP ECC 6.0 environment for a leading organization. As an SAP ABAP/EDI Analyst, you will provide technical expertise across SAP development, EDI integrations, production support, and system enhancements while partnering closely with business and IT teams to ensure reliable day-to-day operations.
SAP ABAP/EDI Analyst Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, enhance, and support SAP ABAP solutions including enhancements, conversions, User Exits, ALV Reports, LSMW, RFCs, BAPIs, BADIs, ALE/EDI, and IDocs.
  • Develop and maintain SAP Scripts and Smart Forms.
  • Provide production support by troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving SAP and EDI issues.
  • Support inbound and outbound IDoc processing, monitor interfaces, and resolve processing errors.
  • Configure and maintain SAP SD functionality while supporting related business processes.
  • Onboard new trading partners by coordinating EDI message mapping with SAP IDoc structures.
  • Support EDI transactions including 850, 855, 846, 856, 810, and 820 document processing.
  • Collaborate with middleware teams (Seeburger experience is a plus) to validate integrations and data mapping.
  • Work directly with vendors and trading partners to resolve EDI issues and improve data exchange processes.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to deliver system enhancements and ongoing operational support.
SAP ABAP/EDI Analyst Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years of SAP ABAP development experience within SAP ECC 6.0 or higher.
  • Strong hands-on SAP ABAP development experience, including enhancements, reports, User Exits, IDocs, BAPIs, BADIs, RFCs, and Smart Forms.
  • Strong functional knowledge of SAP Sales & Distribution (SD); MM experience is a plus.
  • Experience integrating EDI transactions with SAP and onboarding trading partners.
  • Working knowledge of EDI message standards (850, 855, 846, 856, 810, 820).
  • Experience supporting production environments and troubleshooting SAP/EDI integrations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
Preferred
  • Experience with Seeburger middleware.
  • SQL query writing experience.
  • Participation in at least one full SAP ECC implementation.
  • Experience within manufacturing, wholesale, or distribution industries.
  • Strong understanding of SAP Order-to-Cash processes.

This SAP ABAP/EDI Analyst role is ideal for a hands-on SAP developer who enjoys solving technical challenges while supporting critical SAP and EDI operations. The SAP ABAP/EDI Analyst will play a key role in maintaining the SAP ECC environment and delivering high-quality solutions throughout this 12-month engagement.
