ERMis hiring aHealth & SafetySpecialistfor projected-based assignments at client locations throughout the U.S.In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring health and safety compliance with applicable regulations and existing company standards and contributing to an environment where employee health and safety is preserved. You will have the responsibility, authority, and knowledge necessary to develop and implement site-specific Health & Safety plans at a variety of complex project sites.The ideal candidate will bring working knowledge of H&S technicalcapability and deep understanding of business processes to help our clients proactively address their health and safety risks and challenges.

We are building ourH&Stechnical community for upcoming projects across the U.S. This is an ideal opportunity for experienced professionals interested in working on a variety of projects on a contract basis.Typical project assignments will be both short-term and long-term in duration.This is an excellent career opportunity to work with an expert consulting team committed to a strong health & safety culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical assistance on safety-related compliance projects; safety management system development and implementation; safety oversight, industrial hygiene monitoring; and safety auditing.

  • Develop safety procedures, plans, permits, and reports.

  • Assess regulatory compliance across various safety programs and environmental media.

  • Perform compliance audits and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Design and implement safety management systems and programs for clients.

  • Conduct training, field coaching, and assessment for safety performance improvement projects.

  • Provide on-siteH&Scompliance support at client facilities.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in safety, occupational health, engineering, or related degree. Masters preferred.

  • 3 to 7 years relevant consulting experience in working with significant industrial clients on regulatory compliance and sustainableH&Scompliance programs.

  • Certification in field; ASP/CSP, CIH, PE, or similar registration highly desirable.

  • Be passionate aboutsafetyperformance improvement and have working experience with the following H&S topics:

    • LOTO

    • Confined space

    • Hazard recognition

    • Scaffolding

    • Excavation

  • Demonstrated ability to provide detailed regulatory interpretation of federal and state OSHA regulations.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • MS Office Suite and database management for managing large volumes of data.
