Job description

Contracts ManagerTucson, AZ
Remote-based position; candidates must be available for onsite work when needed.

Company Overview

Ondas Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:ONDS) is building a new kind of intelligence company, one designed for a world where speed, autonomy, and decision advantage matter more than ever. By combining multi-domain platforms, advanced sensing, secure networks, and AI-enabled analytics, Ondas helps defense, government, and critical infrastructure customers transform complex mission data into decision-ready insights when and where they matter most.

Ondas Sentinel is Ondas’ U.S.based defense division, purpose-built to deliver U.S.made, U.S. delivered capabilities for the Department of Defense and allied ministries of defense. The division brings together advanced autonomous systems, mission technologies, and intelligence solutions that help customers create persistent awareness, operate with confidence, and make faster decisions in complex and contested environments.

The Stratospheric ISR business unit within Ondas Sentinel is focused on one of the most unique mission areas in aerospace and defense: manufacturing and operating high-altitude stratospheric balloon systems. Few companies in the world can do this work at operational scale. That means our teams are not simply maintaining existing systems; they are building new capabilities, solving first-of-their-kind challenges, and helping define what persistent.

Job Description

The Contracts Manager is responsible for the full lifecycle management of Government and commercial contracts in support of Ondas Sentinel programs. This role ensures compliance with applicable U.S. federal regulations, including FAR, DFARS, other agency-specific requirements, and international regulations as applicable, while supporting business objectives through effective contract negotiation, administration, and risk mitigation.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong business acumen and a disciplined, detail-oriented approach to contract execution. They bring deep knowledge of government contracting, excel at identifying and mitigating risk, and use effective negotiation and influence to achieve favorable outcomes while maintaining regulatory compliance. Success in this role requires cross-functional collaboration across legal, finance, supply chain, and program management teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation, review, negotiation, and administration of contracts, subcontracts, and related agreements, applying strong attention to detail and organizational discipline.

  • Ensure regulatory compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other applicable federal, state, and international requirements.

  • Serve as the primary contracts interface with customers, prime contractors, and subcontractors.

  • Support proposal development by reviewing RFPs, identifying contractual risks, and advising on mitigation strategies to protect program and business objectives.

  • Develop and implement strategic negotiation plans, using sound business judgment and influence to achieve favorable terms and conditions.

  • Manage contract changes, modifications, claims, and dispute resolution.

  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on contractual obligations, risk exposure, and compliance requirements, enabling informed decision-making.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Program Management to ensure contract performance aligns with scope, schedule, and cost objectives.

  • Support audits and reviews (e.g., DCMA, DCAA) and ensure disciplined documentation, record retention, and traceability.

  • Mentor junior contracts professionals and program managers and contribute to process improvements and best practices.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in government contracts management within the defense or aerospace industry.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and U.S. Government contracting principles.

  • Experience managing prime contracts and subcontracts for DoD and/or Space/NASA programs.

  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree, Juris Doctor (JD), or relevant advanced degree.

  • Professional certification such as CPCM (Certified Professional Contracts Manager) or NCMA certification.
