Quality / Reliability Engineer General
Job Summary:
Our client in Dearborn, MI is looking for a Quality / Reliability Engineer General. This is a contract position.
What You Will Do:
  • Implement commodity-specific business plans to ensure your suppliers exceed all corporate launch, quality, capacity, warranty metrics, and vehicle delivery.
  • Lead cross-functional decisions with Our Client & Supplier leadership to drive resolution of open issues.
  • Implement actions to ensure zero vehicle losses from suppliers.
  • Principal for on-site troubleshooting and corrective actions for emergency supplier situations.
  • Lead adherence to Our Client's standards (i.e.Q1).
  • Drive assessment & validation of manufacturing feasibility at identified supplier sites.
  • Execute the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Quality Planning Process (APQP).
  • Use available data, metrics, and business plans to drive future sourcing decisions ensuring improved future quality.
  • Implement commodity-specific business plans to ensure your suppliers exceed all corporate launch, quality, capacity, warranty metrics, and vehicle delivery.
  • Lead on-site troubleshooting and corrective actions for emergency supplier situations.

Basics:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • APQP.
  • Quality Management.
  • Problem Solving.
  • PPAP processes.
  • 5+ years' experience in one or more, but not limited to the following manufacturing process:
    • Casting, Machining, Forging, Stamping, Welding, Plastic/Rubber Molding, Brazing, Sintering, Automated/Manual Assembly Processes, Controls Automation programming, Paint, Chroming and SMC.
