Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)

Contract

Current, unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Georgia or a state that recognizes reciprocity through the nurse licensure compact. Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required. BLS required. Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs and have the strength to push & pull and stand for long periods.

Under supervision, the APRN performs all duties of comprehensive nursing services as qualified to provide to include but not limited to: assessment & triage, and assistance as per guests’ needs.

APRN competency skill requirements: assessment and basic nursing care skills.

This contract requires the rapid deployment of qualified caregivers, within 24 to 48 hours, to support emergency response efforts during critical situations. The service areas are made up of 5 zones (159 counties within the state).

Zone 1: Bartow, Butts, Carroll, Catoosa, Chattooga, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, Dade, DeKalb, Douglas, Fannin, Fayette, Floyd, Fulton, Gilmer, Gordon, Gwinnett, Haralson, Heard, Henry, Lamar, Meriwether, Murray, Newton, Paulding, Pickens, Pike, Polk, Rockdale, Spalding, Troup, Upson, Walker, Whitfield.

Zone 2: Banks, Barrow, Clarke, Columbia, Dawson, Elbert, Forsyth, Franklin, Greene, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Jackson, Lumpkin, Madison, Morgan, Oconee, Oglethorpe, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union, Walton, White.

Schedule: The department shall determine the shifts to be worked and shall not guarantee any minimum number of shifts or hours. Shift assignments may include 8-12 hour shifts, based on department need. Shifts are based solely on the staffing needs at the shelter and not the supplier staff preferences.
