Job description

BioPhase Solutions specializes in recruiting top talented professionals for Southern California's Scientific community. We are currently looking for a Maintenance Mechanic – 3rd shift (contract) to work for a leading Greater Los Angeles area contract development and manufacturing organization.
Pay Rate: $27-30+/hour DOE
Contract: 3-6+ months (covering for LOA)
3rd Shift: 9:00pm – 5:00am
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair production equipment, including pneumatic pumps and motors, vacuum pumps, compressors, solvent lines, water lines, air lines, reactor vessels, and HVAC systems.
  • Ensure cleaning and maintenance of production, support areas, and general facility in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Handle requests from production and other departments, prioritizing tasks to ensure timely completion.
  • Transfer solvents to use locations safely and efficiently.
  • Update inventories and other supplies as needed to support maintenance operations.
  • Comply with all safety procedures, demonstrating knowledge of occupational hazards and required precautions.
  • Prepare and maintain maintenance reports, ensuring compliance with SOPs and cGMPs.
  • Deal tactfully, professionally, and courteously with fellow employees and external vendors/contractors.
  • Perform general clean-up and maintenance tasks as required.
  • Take necessary safety precautions to ensure the secure performance of assigned duties.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Experience/Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in a pharma manufacturing setting; peptide manufacturing preferred
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required
    • Technical Certification or vocational training in mechanical maintenance is preferred
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience working with production equipment, pumps, motors, HVAC systems, and facility maintenance.
  • Experience with cGMPs, SOPs, and workplace safety regulations.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple work orders efficiently.
