HealthTrust Workforce Solutions Regional is seeking a local contract nurse RN Telemetry for a local contract nursing job in Wichita, Kansas.

Job Description & Requirements

Must have:  candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

  • Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital Telemetry experience
  • BLS & ACLS

Preferred or nice to have:  candidates with these skills will be considered first.

  • Prior Meditech experience
  • NIH

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):  

  • Central lines; Medication drips
  • Heart Cath recovery; Bubble studies

About the unit:

  • Number of Beds -37
  • Number of Staff – 12
  • Type of staff:
    • Day Shift –8 RNs, 3 Patient Care Techs, 1 Unit Clerk
    • Night Shift - 8 RNs, 3 Patient Care Techs
  • Patient Ratios – 1:6; 1:4 for Heart Cath patients - estimated never guaranteed
  • Type of equipment – PCA Pumps; IV pumps; Chest Tubes
  • EMR - Meditech
