Job description

Job Title: Chassis Design Engineer
Location: Evans, GA(Onsite)
Position Type: Contract
Job Description:
Strong in Metal fabrication, Plastics, Structural components
  • Design and develop chassis subsystems such as:
  • Front and rear suspension members (control arms, subframes, knuckles)
  • Engine cradles, torsion beams, and axle brackets
  • Mounting structures for steering, braking, and powertrain
  • Create 3D models and 2D drawings with Creo, ensuring GD&T and manufacturing readiness.
  • Perform vehicle packaging studies for chassis integration
  • Ensure designs meet the requirements in coordination with CAE and testing teams.
  • Collaborate with internal & cross-functional teams to provide efficient design against manufacturability.
  • Maintain design documentation and change control through PLM tools such as Windchill (Optional, nice to have)
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 5 to 7 years of chassis or structural design experience in passenger vehicles
  • Expert-level skills in Creo (preferably V6.0)
  • Strong knowledge of sheet metal and welded structures
  • Proficiency in GD&T, DFM/DFA, and design release process
  • Understanding of automotive regulations (AIS, ECE, FMVSS) - preferable
  • Experience with vehicle dynamics, chassis load cases, and test feedback implementation
  • Familiar with CAE correlation, tolerance stack-up, and failure root cause analysis
Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering (Optional)
