We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Controller to oversee the accounting for a high-profile contract using Foreign Military Financing (FMF). The ideal candidate has extensive experience executing defense-related contracts funded through U.S. Government security assistance programs, especially FMF. This role requires strong leadership, contract oversight, budget tracking, and stakeholder coordination in compliance with DoD and State Department regulations.

On-site work is mandatory for this position - Candidates that reside in these areas will be considered Orlando, FL and Cambridge, MA

  • Support the Project Manager by accurately tracking and reporting all project financial transactions.
  • Serve as primary point of contact on financial matters with U.S. Government agencies (e.g., DSCA, DCSA and DFAS, State Department) and foreign military customers.
  • Ensure compliance with FMF policies, ITAR regulations, and applicable acquisition procedures.
  • Develop, track, and report on project budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate internally across engineering, contracts, finance, logistics, and legal teams.
  • Prepare and submit program documentation such as Financial Status Reports and Letters of Credit.
  • Conduct financial risk assessment, cash flow analysis and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project execution.
  • Monitor performance metrics and ensure adherence to contractual obligations and funding limits.
  • Support audits, reviews, and data calls from U.S. Government and foreign customer stakeholders.
  • Support proposal development for new opportunities and task orders.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience managing financial operations in contracts involving Foreign Military Financing.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., MS Project, Earned Value Management).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a [Secret] security clearance.

Preferred:

  • Experience working with foreign partners, embassies, or defense attaches.
  • Familiarity with DSAMS, SCIP, or other security cooperation systems.
