Job Title: Senior POS Engineer / Technical Lead
Employment: Contract to Hire
Location: Chicago, IL - Remote
Why This Role Exists
Global Client is supporting a large-scale restaurant modernization initiative for a global quick-service restaurant (QSR) organization. The team requires experienced POS Engineers and Technical Leads who can help modernize restaurant technology platforms, improve customer experience, and accelerate delivery across digital ordering, payments, and restaurant operations.
This is a hands-on engineering role requiring strong technical leadership and experience supporting Point-of-Sale (POS) environments in retail, hospitality, or restaurant ecosystems.
First 30 Days
  • Learn the current restaurant technology ecosystem
  • Understand POS architecture, integrations, and modernization roadmap
  • Establish relationships with development, product, and business stakeholders

Within 60 Days
  • Contribute to POS application enhancements and modernization initiatives
  • Support integration efforts across ordering, payments, loyalty, and restaurant systems
  • Identify technical debt and opportunities for performance improvements

Within 90 Days
  • Deliver production-ready enhancements
  • Improve system stability, scalability, and maintainability
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams
