POSITION:  Manufacturing Technical Writer (6 month contract)

 What You Will Do:

  • Develop and maintain technical process documentation in a manner that provides production personnel with the ability to build high quality products efficiently and effectively including but not limited to procedures, work instructions, guidance documents and operator preventive maintenance documentation. 
  • Support adherence to site Change Control Board process.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to validate technical accuracy and completeness. 
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to standardize documentation practices.
  • Maintain consistency in format, terminology, and document structure.
  • Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of tasks.

What You Will Bring:

  • HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Aerospace or defense industry manufacturing experience (Preferred)
  • Experience with digital photo editing. (Preferred)
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma principles. (Preferred)
  • Experience with manufacturing drawings, technical specifications, SAP and basic production flow.

Pay Range: $24.04-$28.75 p/h

Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.

Work Requirements:

This role is considered a "Temporary" (6 months) on-site position located in Wilson, NC .

  • You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.  
  • Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
