Job description

Position: PCB Designer Company: NAPCO Security Technologies, Inc. Location: Amityville, NY The Company:NAPCO Security Technologies, Inc., headquartered in Amityville, Long Island NY, is a worldwide leader in the manufacturing of electronic security systems for over 50 years has a full time opening for a PCB Design Engineer to join our growing Engineering team. Responsibilities/Requirements: 0 - 2+ years of PCB layout or related experience.

Solid understanding of basic electronics principles. Familiarity with reading and interpreting component datasheets, application notes, and technical documentation. Familiarity with one or more of the following design areas: High-speed / high-density digital High-power / high-current analog RF / microwave hardware design and layout practices Proficiency with PCB schematic capture, symbol creation, and design library management.

Proficiency with PCB schematic capture and design library management. Knowledge of mixed SMT and through-hole technologies. Ability to manage schematic and PCB revisions, including creation of ECNs and process documentation.

Ability to research, select, and qualify components and alternate parts. Knowledge of IPC standards a plus. Familiarity with PCB manufacturing and assembly processes, including support of fabrication and production-related questions.

Capable of supporting our in-house contract manufacturer production questions. Knowledge of PCB panelization processes is a plus. Knowledge of PADS PCB tools is highly preferred.
