Job description

Job Summary:
DP World North America is a growing global contract logistics provider operating in over 40 countries. They are seeking an experienced OpenEdge Software Developer to support and enhance core business applications by developing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise systems built on the OpenEdge platform.
Responsibilities:
• Undertake the full development lifecycle of a global Progress application.
• Produce high quality software solutions within time and budget.
• Provide support of existing applications to an agreed SLA.
• Work within a team and focus on continuous improvement and learning.
• Create innovative solutions to problems.
• Facilitate and support onsite deployments of major projects.
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required:
• Degree or third level qualification in IT or equivalent experience.
• Exposure to querying relational databases.
• Experience in development of successfully delivering development projects in a commercial environment.
• Working knowledge of Unix / Linux Operating System and commands.
• The ability to work under pressure and deliver to changing business demands.
• Ability to see bigger picture and understand a global application focus.
• Ability to code to standards and take direction as to general coding method.
