M9 Solutions is seeking a Linux System Administrator to work onsite in support of a government contract for a client located in McLeansville, NC. A Secret clearance obtainable after hire is required.
Responsibilities
  • Support engineering development and maintenance of programs.
  • Linux system administration.
  • Network equipment (primarily Cisco) setup and maintenance.
  • Design and implementation of cybersecurity solutions.
  • Work well in a team, can accept direction and constructive criticism.
  • Independently identify tasks or projects that need to be done and effectively prioritize time to complete multiple assignments.
  • Conduct project planning, cost analysis, and vendor comparisons.
  • Willingness to support both domestic and international travel up to 10%.
  • Holds ownership by identifying alternatives in the midst of barriers to progress.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Secret security clearance obtainable after hire is required.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a specialized area or equivalent relevant experience is required, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experienced in Linux system administration for small/medium-size networks.
  • Understanding of vulnerability and compliance scanning, analysis of the scan results, and security patching.
  • Working knowledge of Linux hardening.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity specifications, such as Risk Management Framework (RMF), STIGs, and other government security specifications and guidelines.
  • Network architecture and the application of network setup (LAN, NICs, Router Configurations).
  • Experienced in Cisco equipment for small/medium size networks.
  • Hands-on experience setting up networks, including servers, network infrastructure equipment, and network end devices.
  • Ability to work alone or in a team environment.
  • Demonstrates ability to move into new teams and quickly learn project-defined specific processes while applying past knowledge and experience.
  • Proven documentation skills and technical writing.
  • Communicating technical information clearly so that it may be understood by a non-technical individual.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Linux system administration, RHCSA a bonus.
  • Network+/Security+ or equivalent experience; CISSP a bonus.
  • Cisco experience, CCNP a bonus.
  • Experience with general network administration; Server+/Linux+ a bonus.
