Network Management Engineer (OpenStack/Cloud)- Dallas HYBRID
Work Location:
Dallas,Texas,-USA-75019
Skill Sets and Requirements:
Duration: 6 Plus Months
Description:
Candidate will be required to work out of the Dallas office 2-3 days per week.
Candidate will be required to work during central Time Zone hours.
Candidate MUST have the following and be clearly visible in previous work history
* OpenStack and orchestration experience
* NMS/OSS Installation/upgrade and Integration experience
* Proficiency in FCAPS and network management system tools in the telecom domain.
*Experience in Red hat Linux and Windows.
Job Roles Responsibilities
• Form installation and commissioning of MantaRay NM (NetAct) Systems on OpenStack cloud environment in Nokia Lab, customer Lab and productions systems.
• Support and execute regression testing and ATP of MantaRay NM in Nokia Lab, customer Lab and productions systems.
• Support orchestration of deployment and upgrade workflows in OpenStack cloud.
Perform integration of MantaRay NM with various other Network elements for FCAPS functionality.
• Participate in MantaRay NM Software Upgrade and be responsible for whole or portion of the upgrade tasks.
• Proactively work on issues and communicates updates to key stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot issues, conduct knowledge bases, and determine need for technical escalation.
• Implementation of continuous improvement practices for high process efficiencies.
• Provide on-site support (if needed).
• Implement proactive measures to address customer concerns as appropriate
• Participate in customer & internal meetings representing Nokia Network Management team.
• Creation, delivery of MOPS to the customer.
• Maintain Lab systems for use in testing and problem-solving scenarios.
• Follow all Nokia Information Security policies and guidelines including ISMS (ISO27001 program)
Competencies and Skillset:
• Proficiency in FCAPS and network management system tools in the telecom domain.
• Knowledge of deployment of Network management system (NMS) with installation and commissioning experience.
Experience in orchestration workflows of new deployment and upgrades in OpenStack cloud
• Expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux OS with Red hat Certification preferred.
• Experience deploying applications on cloud infrastructure (Open stack or VMWare) with open stack certification preferred.
• Good Analytical troubleshooting skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
