Job description

At Blentech Corporation, we specialize in "Blending Simplicity with Technology." We design and manufacture innovative industrial food processing equipment. We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Payroll Processing Clerk II to execute our regular multi-state payroll in UKG and support everyday administrative duties and team culture events. This role is focused on routine tactical execution, accurate data entry, and team coordination — it is not a strategic consultant or management role.
Position Overview
Working under the direct supervision of the HR Supervisor, the Payroll Processing Clerk II performs regular data entry, processes semi-monthly time-tracking records, executes multi-state payroll routines in UKG Ready, and assists with employee engagement activities. You will serve as the friendly, go-to resource for internal payroll questions and handle routine administrative tasks.
Key Day-to-Day Responsibilities
1. Tactical Payroll Execution & Data Entry (~60% of role)
  • Review, analyses, correct and process regular multi-state payroll for 100+ employees using the UKG HRIS platform.
  • Perform daily/weekly timecard auditing, tracking missed punches, paid time off (PTO), and overtime usage.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in UKG, deductions, and tax documentation (W-2s, W-4s).
  • Generate standard payroll output reports for the accounting department following each pay run.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal staff to answer payroll and time-tracking questions.
2. Culture, Events & Employee Recognition (~20% of role)
  • Coordinate staff milestone celebrations, Years of Service awards, employee birthday/sympathy cards, and seasonal gifts.
  • Work with HR and Sales Administration to plan quarterly safety lunches, holiday parties, and staff appreciation events.
  • Assist HR Leadership with company award submissions (e.g., Best Places to Work).
3. Administrative & Office Support (~20% of role)
  • Maintain company uniform and apparel inventory (shirts, coveralls) and manage business card orders.
  • Support the HR Supervisor with employee onboarding documentation if needed.
  • Monitor weekly Glassdoor and Indeed company reviews and flag updates for HR Leadership.
  • Compile, log, and submit CMTA tax/training forms. Assist HR with basic benchmarking data collection via Salary.com as requested.
  • Run local business errands as needed (driver's license required).
Required Competencies & Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. An associate’s degree (AA) in Business, Payroll Certificate or related field is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience for a workforce of 100+ employees in multiple states.
  • Platform Expertise: Required direct hands-on experience using UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) HRIS to process payroll. Experience within a PEO model is a plus. Proven multi-state payroll processing experience required. Exposure to Employer of Record (EOR) international payroll tools is a plus.
  • Practical Skills: Strong numerical accuracy (calculating hours, percentages, deductions). Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Google Workspace.
  • Interpersonal & Detail Focus: High accuracy in repetitive data entry, strict adherence to employee confidentiality, and a positive, helpful approach to employee service.
Compensation & Total Rewards
  • Hourly Wage: $26.55 - $29.58 per hour (non-exempt).
  • Health Benefits: 100% Company-Paid Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance premiums for the employee.
  • Retirement: 401(k) plan with company matching after 6 months of employment.
  • Paid Time Off: Comprehensive Paid Time Off (PTO) package + paid company holidays.
  • Environment: A supportive, collaborative manufacturing environment with opportunities for professional growth.
Application Instructions
  • If you meet the qualifications, possess direct hands-on UKG payroll processing experience, and thrive in an operational support role, please submit your resume wage requirements, and cover letter here.

Blentech Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We do not accept international applicants, remote-only contract consultants, or third-party recruiters. All employment is at-will.
