Reliance One, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Simulation Engineer to support advanced manufacturing and supply chain modeling initiatives within Toyota’s Battery Manufacturing Engineering team. This role focuses on leveraging Siemens Plant Simulation to drive data-driven decision-making and optimize operational performance.

Position Overview

The Simulation Engineer will develop, validate, and maintain discrete event simulation (DES) models across multiple operational levels—from individual production lines to regional supply chains. This position plays a critical role in improving manufacturing efficiency, anticipating operational challenges, and supporting continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance discrete event simulation (DES) models for manufacturing operations at line, shop, plant, and supply chain levels
  • Utilize Siemens Plant Simulation to build accurate and scalable simulation models
  • Design and implement standardized templates, tools, and deliverables for simulation projects
  • Establish and maintain validation standards to ensure model accuracy and reliability
  • Collaborate with internal engineers and data analysts to integrate simulation data and streamline data collection processes
  • Manage relationships with external simulation vendors and support project execution
  • Create and maintain a centralized repository for simulation models and documentation
  • Analyze simulation outputs to generate actionable insights that drive operational improvements
  • Support development of digital twin capabilities using simulation models
  • Provide training and guidance to internal teams on simulation best practices

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Systems Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in discrete event simulation within a manufacturing environment
  • Proven expertise with Siemens Plant Simulation
  • Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Python or SQL
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production systems, and supply chain processes
