Manufacturing Electrical Engineer

Description: Support electronics by providing continuous improvement solutions for production, testing and quality initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily production activities within the Electronics Engineering Departments
  • Ensure timely availability of tools, equipment and procedures required to support module build and radio testing
  • Maintain Production Schedule-to ensure Production goals/metrics are met.
  • Ensure all test procedures and protocols are documented and align with customer test requirements
  • Work to resolve design and build issues
  • Coordinate design changes and improvements with customers
  • Maintain test documentation in current configuration and oversee accurate change management procedures for test documents
  • Evaluate, select and recommend capital test equipment using sound cost/payback analysis
  • Provide technical assistance and training support for floor test technicians
  • Monitor projects are they move through Electronics Engineering Departments
  • Provide root cause analysis of failures & provide timely communication of such data to customers for potential revisions
  • Ensure Ship on Time objectives are met on a daily basis to meet customer expectations.
  • Monitor products as they move through the Production and Testing process. Problem solves issues as they develop in order to maintain goals and objectives
  • Coordinate with the HR department to address personnel needs and issues as situations arise.
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed and maintained on the production floor
  • Assist in driving Continuous Improvement/5S activities/LEAN initiatives throughout Timberline
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
  • 5 years Manufacturing Electrical Engineering experience
  • 5 years of module assembly and radio test experience required
  • Strong working knowledge of all Microsoft products including Excel, Outlook, and Word required.
  • Must have strong communication skills to communicate with other employee owners, team leads, and production supervisors.
  • Highly organized with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have a positive attitude with a customer appreciation mentality
  • Attention to detail with the ability to problem solve
  • Ability to lift 50lbs on a regular basis
