Job description

We have an outstanding Contract position for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a leading Company located in the Grand Prairie, TX surrounding area.

Looking for an experienced manufacturing engineer for the Grand Prairie site. This person will be responsible for reviewing various machining processes and working closely with the shop-floor machinists to identify waste and streamline processing steps. This person should expect to spend the majority of their time on the production floor working to understand and resolve complex manufacturing issues. This role requires a strong communicator who can bridge the gap between production operations, quality, NC programming, and other disciplines.

Basic Hiring Criteria:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the Manufacturing Engineering Discipline
  • Machined part manufacturing experience
  • Experience running cost reduction/efficiency projects with tangible results
  • Strong communication skills and comfortable working on the production floor
  • Safety shoes are required for this position

Desired Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Mazak NC machines
  • Experience with Root Cause / Corrective action analysis
  • Experience using statistical process control in manufacturing
