What will your typical day look like?

In this role, you will be responsible for rolling out robust contract management processes, overseeing their effective implementation, and ensuring ongoing compliance. Your day-to-day activities will include reviewing proposals and contract documents for your contract managed engagements, identifying and analyzing potential risks, and developing strategies to address them.

Leveraging your expertise in contract management, you will actively manage and monitor contract performance, ensure alignment between contractual obligations and operational practices, mitigate risk, and collaborate with stakeholders to negotiate favorable terms, when required.

Additionally, you will drive continuous improvement by regularly assessing contract management processes, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing best practices to strengthen risk mitigation and operational efficiency. This is a strategic position aimed at proactively managing and addressing contractual risk and issues and fostering a culture of ongoing improvement through collaboration across the eco-system, and diligent contract oversight.

This position is not a risk policy or financial risk role. Candidates seeking opportunities specifically in risk policy or financial risk management are encouraged to consider other relevant positions.

Due to the nature of the role having interactions with National & Global clients, English is essential for this position.

About the team

Our team is dedicated to excellence in risk management within Technology and Transformation (T&T) and Operate Next and Strategy, Risk and Transactions (SR&T) teams. The Contract Management team sits within the Risk Management team and we work closely with engagement teams and leadership to navigate and mitigate risks associated with contractual terms and service delivery. By fostering collaboration, resolving complex issues, and making informed decisions, we ensure that our delivery across engagements remain secure and efficient. Enough about us, let’s talk about you

You are someone with these required skills, experience and qualifications: 

  • At least 10 years of experience providing contract management support.
  • Proven expertise in handling complex contractual terms and conditions and managing associated risks.
  • Familiarity with Canadian standards, industry norms, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to take ownership & collaborate with engagement teams to provide end-to-end support for contract managed engagements and accounts, including drafting Statements of Work (SOWs) and Change
  • Orders, negotiating terms, and ensuring timely and appropriate adjustments to contract schedules, pricing, or other terms as required by circumstances and impact assessments. Provide expert advice to engagement teams on contract management and compliance matters.
  • Ability to summarize and communicate essential contractual requirements and obligations to relevant stakeholders.
  • Experience in reviewing and monitoring contractual obligations of the parties to validate that these are met in line with terms and conditions including obligations, deliverables and key methodologies such as performance measures, productivity achievement and invoicing.
  • Experience in creating contract summaries, obligation trackers and other standard documentation including reporting for new and ongoing engagements.
  • Experience in rolling out of governance forums as per contractual requirements as part of contract management mobilization on engagements.
  • Contract management experience in complex information technology (IT) consulting, IT outsourcing, and IT professional services projects will be a vital asset.
  • Ability to take on ad hoc responsibilities as required.

  • BI and other development skills such as setting up dashboards, process mapping, data analysis and visualization, database management, and developing and/or customizing contract management systems.

The salary range for this position is $86,000 - $165,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
