Job description

Our law firm has an associate attorney position available now, and we’re looking for the right professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in at least one of our practice areas, with the ability to expand the current services offered.

The compensation listed is based on full-time employment, but we are also considering a part-time arrangement with compensation to be determined. For reference, part-time compensation may start at 50% of the range listed in this job post. But ultimately, compensation is based on performance and also DOE.

You will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge of legal issues that arise in our practice, and will have the opportunity to provide legal counsel to existing clients. You will also conduct consultations with prospective clients. You’ll be responsible for performing legal research, drafting pleadings and other legal documents, and maintaining relationships with clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Create legal documents, including correspondence, briefs, motions, pleadings, contracts, affidavits, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings
  • Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action
  • Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently
  • Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff
  • Provide expert legal counsel to our valued clients, ensuring their needs are met with precision and care.

  • Conduct thorough consultations with prospective clients, offering insights and guidance to help them make informed decisions.

  • Perform comprehensive legal research to support case strategies and ensure the best outcomes for clients.

  • Prepare for and attend hearings and give general legal counsel under he supervision of attorneys in the firm.

  • Draft clear and concise pleadings and other legal documents, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism.

  • Foster and maintain strong, trusting relationships with clients, ensuring open communication and ongoing support.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative legal strategies that align with our firm's goals and values.

  • Stay updated on legal trends and changes in legislation to provide the most current and effective advice to clients.


Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school
  • Applicants must have successfully passed the state bar exam
  • Willingness to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base
  • Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients
  • Customer service background a plus.
