Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 24+ months of experience in cardiac catheterization procedures, including proficiency in peripheral/coronary angiography, PCI, and pacemaker procedures.

  • Hospital-based cardiac cath lab setting in Dubuque, IA
  • Patient cases include peripheral and coronary angiography, PCI, and pacemaker procedures
  • Average of 4 cases per day
  • Equipment includes Artis Zee C-arm, Impella, IABP, and Acist Injector
  • EMR: Epic
  • 5x8-hour day shifts with a 6:45 AM start time, 40 hours per week
  • Requires 50% call coverage, including every other weekend and every other holiday
  • 13-week contract
Requirements
  • Minimum 24 months of current cardiac cath lab experience required
  • ARRT or RCIS (CCI) certification required
  • Active ACLS and BLS (AHA or ARC) required
  • Iowa Radiology license highly preferred; non-licensed applicants may be considered but must apply for licensure upon offer acceptance — license required if applicable
  • Proficiency with fluoroscopy required
  • Proficiency in peripheral and coronary angiography, PCI, and pacemaker procedures required
  • Experience with Impella highly preferred
  • Experience with Acist Injector, iFR, and IVUS highly preferred
  • Must have completed at least one travel contract within the previous 12 months; first-time travelers will not be considered
  • Driver's license required for consideration
  • Supervisory performance evaluation or professional reference from within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
  • Candidate must reside more than 90 miles from the facility to be eligible
  • Any past employee of UPH (FTE or PRN, including float pool) who has worked at any UPH facility within the past 12 months is not eligible; this policy does not apply to those who previously worked travel assignments at UPH
  • Travelers are expected to work 1–2 of the 3 upcoming summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day
  • Hospital-provided scrubs in light blue
