Are you ready to drive operational excellence for a leading fleet operation? Kelly®, a trusted talent partner, is seeking an analytical and proactive Inventory Planner for our client in Hayward. This mission-critical role ensures optimal inventory planning and supply chain operations, supporting vehicle maintenance and operational readiness. What You’ll Do:
  • Own end-to-end material planning and execution for assigned product categories to maximize fleet uptime.
  • Oversee the complete purchase order lifecycle: from PO creation, supplier confirmation, shipment tracking, receipt reconciliation, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Coordinate inbound transportation with suppliers and logistics providers, proactively solving for delivery challenges.
  • Monitor inventory levels, demand signals, and service requirements to drive replenishment strategies across multiple service locations.
  • Identify and mitigate supply risks, address shortages, and coordinate corrective actions to prevent service disruptions.
  • Build relationships and collaborate with suppliers, logistics, service, maintenance, engineering, operations, and supply chain teams.
  • Analyze supply and inventory data to find gaps, improve visibility, and support well-informed decision-making.
  • Monitor inventory health, balancing investment with fleet readiness, addressing shortages, excess, and obsolescence.
  • Influence cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment, accountability, and continuous improvement—without direct authority.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field – preferred.
  • 6–8 years’ experience in logistics, inventory management, or supply chain planning.
  • Expertise in ERP/MRP platforms; strong data analysis skills for strategic inventory decisions.
  • Advanced Excel skills—experience with large datasets, reporting, and data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder influence skills.
  • Fleet services or multi-site inventory operations experience – highly desirable.
Bonus Qualifications:
  • SAP S/4HANA experience
  • Technical background in inventory optimization or supply/demand planning
  • APICS CPIM or similar industry certification
