Position Overview
The Environmental Engineer I will serve as a Water Resources Engineer supporting Southern Company's hydro reservoir management organization. This role contributes to the implementation of watershed water control plans including operational forecasting, flood control, and drought management across multiple hydro-generating watersheds.
The position supports hydrologic modeling, real-time monitoring systems, computer model development, and operation of the Hydro Optimization Management System (HOMS).
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer seeking hands-on experience in hydro operations, watershed modeling, and real-time water resource system management.
