Job Title: Technical Editor Job Category: Engineering and Technical Support Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI with Polygraph Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Continental US * * * The Opportunity: Responsible for reviewing, proof-reading, and editing of both technical and programmatic documentation to include documents such as design specifications, manuals, on-line help, contract deliverables, procedures, plans, and proposals ensuring consistency, grammar, structure and accuracy. Responsibilities: * Reviewing and editing both technical and programmatic documentation for clarity and accuracy
* Verify that content is factually accurate and logically structured for the intended audience
* Ensure consistency in terminology, tone, and writing style across documents
* Ensure compliance with style guides
* Correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and syntax errors
* Ensure formatting and layout optimization
* Collaborate with writers and subject matter experts
* Provide constructive feedback
* Review document flow and structure
* Maintain document version control
* Ensure compliance with customer and company requirements Qualifications: Required: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience
* 5+ years of related work experience
* Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
* Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and documentation tools (e.g., MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker)
* Familiarity with markup languages (e.g., HTML, XML)
* Excellent organizational and time management skills
