Gas Transportation Coordinator 

Level I, II Coordinators are responsible for all natural gas transportation requirements of both PGW's bundled Sales Customers and unbundled Transportation Customers. Incumbent acts to ensure pipeline routing for natural gas delivery to PGW gate stations, assumes responsibility for nomination and confirmation for system supply from Choice Program and legacy Gas Transportation Service (GTS). The incumbent assists in achieving the optimal mix of economy and security appropriate at each season ensuring that both the contracted supply and the transport contracts allow for the smooth and uninterrupted flow of natural gas to meet commitments.

Senior Level are responsible for the initiation and maintenance of the PGW capacity release program, with secondary responsibility for off-system sales and creation of all appropriate reports for Regulatory oversight. Incumbent acts to ensure the availability of the appropriate transportation path to permit uninterrupted delivery of natural gas at the City Gate to supply both the system and direct end users. This involves scheduling various supply alternatives for both firm and spot contracts, multiple storage contracts with individual contractual specifications for system supply and integrating customer owned sources as well. Position ensures accuracy of all into the pipe pricing. In addition, the incumbent acts as a team leader assisting with the training and development of lower-level peers and assisting Manager with various administrative functions as requested.

Responsibilities

Coordinate the nomination of natural gas supplies purchased for system supply by the Gas Buyer, mounting to 100% of PGW's annual supply and all end user transportation quantities budgeted at 5 million MCF.

File all monthly transportation nominations and revisions in a timely manner to achieve the necessary balance of economic advantage and security of supply; maintain all data pertaining to such nominations to facilitate accounting/bill payment/auditing functions in computer database format.

Arrange pipeline routing of volumes purchased for system supply to accomplish delivery to PGW's gate stations.

Maintain up-to-date computer access authorization codes and skills for 5 separate pipeline systems & prospective generic alternatives.Secure and maintain all rights to receipt points on pipelines in conjunction with established pipeline tariffs.

Maintain all listings of eligible supply sources; prepare and disseminate reports of transportation activities and scheduling of natural gas purchases including maintenance of local area network accessibility.

Review all contracts prepared for filing with the Gas Commission, all natural gas transportation bills and their verification, establish and maintain files on all transport contracts and transactions.

Keep abreast of actions under consideration by regulatory bodies affecting transportation and exchange of natural gas.

Provide technical analysis of all transport activities for financial and/or operational impacts; issue-written reports and communicate the transport data to all appropriate PGW recipients.

Perform other special projects and assignments as requested.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in engineering, Business, Accounting, or other relevant field of study (additional course work or experience in Economics, Finance, or Statistics would be a plus)

Level I - 0 - 1 years of experience preferably in the Government or Utility Industry.

Level II - 1 - 3 years of experience preferably in the Government or Utility Industry.

Senior Coordinator- 3- 5 years of experience preferably in the Government or Utility Industry.

Must have knowledge of business and management principles involved in transportation of natural gas supply including common terminology, load requirements, pipeline supply, marketing, gas control operations and federal, state, and local regulations.

Must have analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze and report impact of all transport activities on budget and daily operations.

Must have problem solving skills with the ability to apply learned business principles to evolving business practices to recommend appropriate solutions to daily issues.

Must have verbal and written communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across department lines as well as suppliers' representatives, pipeline personnel, end-users, and skilled workers.

Must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office, project management and financial software systems such as Oracle, Clarity, Quicken, etc. and ability to learn pipeline EBB packages.
