Job description

Position Title: Junior Engineer / Engineer-in-Training (EIT) – Fuels Department

Location: Homer City / Blairsville 

Employment Type: Full-Time

Onsite / Hybrid 

Position Overview:

We are looking for multiple Engineers or EIT to join the Fuels Department on the Homer City Pipeline Project (HCPP). This role is an excellent starting point for an aspiring engineer seeking exposure to the energy sector. The successful candidate will primarily support the project team with administrative and coordination tasks while also gaining hands-on experience in engineering and permitting aspects of a regulated natural gas distribution line.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Fuels Department, including  document control, scheduling support, and internal coordination.
  • Take and distribute meeting minutes, track action items, and assist with follow-ups.
  • Assist with compiling permit applications, technical submittals, and compliance documentation.
  • Support senior engineers with basic engineering tasks such as reviewing plans, preparing exhibits, and organizing technical data.
  • Coordinate with environmental consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to  support project milestones.
  • Help maintain organized records for correspondence, approvals, and project deliverables.
  • Participate in site visits and team meetings as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Civil, or Energy-related Engineering.
  • EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6–12 months.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam or other design tools is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and eager to learn.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Internship or co-op experience in energy, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with natural gas systems or public utility processes.
  • Comfortable working in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
