Position Description:

We are looking for a Natural Gas Engineer to join our ICE Team to improve infrastructure in our Southern offices. The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, and two to ten years of similar work experience. Experience with natural gas and other utilities is preferred. The candidate must also be self-motivated, work well with others, and have excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule is available after 30 days of employment. 
Typical responsibilities include:
  • Design various natural gas projects including distribution mains, transmission pipelines, metering & regulating facilities as well as launcher/receiver assemblies. 
  • Perform civil site design, trenchless installation design, utility conflict analysis, and traffic control plan design.
  • Prepare design reports and construction plans using client, local, state, or other applicable standards. 
  • Coordinate preparation of specifications and permit submittals. 
  • Prepare preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities. 
  • Document design changes and communications. 
  • Conduct on-site observations as needed. 
  • Prepare project status and other reports. 
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals. 
  • Assist Project Managers as needed. 
  • Attend client, public, project, and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, preconstruction, etc. 
  • Attend seminars and/or training classes. 
  • Maintain excellent client relations. 
  • Maintain a safe working environment. 
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering required
Skills/Experience:
  • 2-10 years of experience is required.
  • Experience with natural gas or other utilities preferred.
  • Experience with AutoDesk Civil 3D is preferred.
  • Experience with Engineering  based programs (GasCalc, Pipeline Toolbox, BoreAid, and other similiar engineering software) is preferred.
