  • Complete fatigue-management training and certification on Gas Control's policies and procedures, and progress toward full qualification as a Gas Controller II, which takes a minimum of 9 months and up to 13 months to complete.

System Operations and Control
  • Under the direction of a qualified controller, use SCADA and its tools to operate UGI and UGIES facilities across all systems managed by the control room.
  • Make control setpoint adjustments as needed to maintain system integrity and meet daily supply-balancing goals.
  • Navigate each pipeline supplier's electronic bulletin board to review and confirm scheduled delivery volumes (Total Daily Entitlements - TDE).
  • Use SCADA tools together with GasDay weather and send-out forecasts to prepare system load estimates and adjust flow or pressure setpoints at remotely controlled stations.

Alarm Management and Emergency Response
  • Monitor and respond to safety and non-safety alarms across all UGI and UGIES systems, in accordance with the documented alarm-response protocols for each facility.

Professional Development
  • This role is the entry point into the Gas Controller progression (GC I → II → III) and builds the foundation for a long-term career in gas control operations.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma / GED required.
  • Associate degree or equivalent technical training and/or experience preferred.
