Job description

Responsible for creating all plans, blueprints, design drawings, submittal documents, and calculations for the projects in Northern California and surrounding areas Obtain permits and submit all required documents to Jurisdictional Authorities and general contractors Coordinate with field on installations and service Communicate timelines to our customers and contractors Responsible for ordering materials and parts for field installations Utilize familiarity with Code in support of sales team, service team and field employees Proactively follow up on submittals and approvals to maintain project schedule Skills for Fire Sprinkler although reasonable candidates with strong experience will be considered. Fast paced, fast moving company; this position needs to be able to keep up with the demand this opportunity provides. Some travel may be necessary.


Qualifications:

5+ years experience designing in the Fire Life Safety Industry Understanding of Fire Life Safety Code (NFPA, CFC, IBC, IFC) NICET Certifications a plus Ability to perform calculations on Fire Sprinkler designs Experience comprehending specifications, contract drawings, bid set plans and others Experience coordinating field employees to follow plans MEP CAD suite (Autosprink, AlarmCAD) a strong plus HydraCAD experience a plus Proficient with Autocad, Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Ability to follow direction, complete assigned tasks and meet deadlines Ability to complete multiple projects, prioritize and see projects through from start to finish Excellent oral and written communication Detail oriented Team player Self-motivated Client driven and customer service oriented Sales and design-bid experience a plus Must have 5 plus years of Fire Sprinkler experience


Compensation:

$85 - 130k DOE
