  • Draft, review, and negotiate Market Access agreements-including health plan, PBM, specialty pharmacy, GPO, wholesaler, distributor, Medicaid, and VA Federal Supply Schedule contracts-in accordance with approved guidelines and strategies.
  • Draft term sheets for new contract offers and prepare high-quality customer correspondence and communications.
  • Identify and flag high-risk contractual terms and escalate exposure and liability concerns to management and account teams in a timely manner.
  • Ensure contract files and supporting documents are accurately tracked, organized, and maintained in accordance with company filing processes.

Stakeholder Partnership & Compliance
  • Partner with Market Access account teams during contract negotiations to align on terms, conditions, and commercial strategies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Government Pricing, and Contract Operations to ensure proposals and contracts are prepared accurately and on schedule.
  • Respond to inquiries from customers and field account managers regarding contract program specifics and performance details.
  • Provide guidance on contract interpretation to support compliance, with particular focus on payment accuracy, forecasting implications, and reserves.
  • Work with Government Pricing and Contract Operations to ensure appropriate price reporting, validation, and payment calculation in the Model N revenue management system.

Policy, Process & Market Intelligence
  • Maintain and update contracting policies, procedures, and workflow processes, continuously seeking best practice solutions and embracing new technologies to support an agile operating environment.
  • Review and interpret reimbursement strategies, including price protection arrangements, and communicate these effectively to internal teams and customers.
  • Remain current on healthcare reform developments, payer landscape dynamics, and regulatory changes that impact contracting across managed care, PBM, specialty pharmacy, government, and exchange channels.
  • Support periodic business reviews with internal leadership and customers by preparing relevant contractual background, analysis, and documentation.

Governance Support
  • Actively support Pricing Committee and Contract Governance Committee meetings as a prepared subject matter expert, contributing PVA contract insights and supporting the development of meeting materials and documentation.
  • Support the Business Case process by providing contract-related analysis and context to inform decision-making.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience, with a background in Market Access, contracting, or a closely related field is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in contract drafting, review, and negotiation within a pharmaceutical or managed care context.
  • Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical reimbursement environment, including managed care, PBM, specialty pharmacy, and government contracting channels.
  • Experience supporting or participating in U.S. product launch activities is required
  • Experience in oncology is highly preferred.
  • JD or legal background is a plus.
  • Contract Management: Independently applies contract management principles across routine and moderately complex situations; understands legal risk and escalates appropriately.
